Jovibest Fashions is a women's fashion house in Ipaja, Lagos, built on patient, proper tailoring. Every order starts with your own measurements and ends with an outfit that sits the way you imagined it.
We sew Ankara, lace, sequin and aso-ebi: owambe gowns, church and wedding outfits, office skirt and blouse, kaftans and everyday wear. We help you match the fabric to the style so the outfit carries you well.

Aso-Ebi & Lace
Matching family and asoebi sets sewn in different styles, delivered before the event day.
Everyday & Office
Kaftans, skirt and blouse, gowns and corporate two-piece for work and daily wear.
Adjustments, bridal train outfits and repeat orders are all welcome. Send your measurements and we will advise you on the fabric.

Mummy Jovibest, the hand behind every style
She started learning the work as a young girl and has been sewing for women for more than thirty-five years. What began with one machine at home has grown into a full workshop in Peace Estate, Ipaja, where she still cuts most of the styles herself.
Her clients are church women, working mothers, brides and their families, both in Lagos and abroad. She is known for one thing above all: she will not release an outfit until the fit is correct.

Learn the work from someone who has done it for 35 years
Over the years, more than a hundred young women have learned tailoring in this workshop. Many of them now run their own shops in Lagos, other states and outside the country. We take a small number of new students at a time so everybody gets proper attention.

Basic Class
Three months of hand and machine work, measurement taking and simple gowns.

Full Apprenticeship
One to two years covering cutting, lace, sequin work and finishing.

Finishing & Freedom
Final assessment, freedom ceremony and support to start your own shop.
